Chateau Lestignac – Tempête
Wine of France
Grape varieties : Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
A wine with an evocative name, which smells of the open sea, freedom, nature, its wild and untamed character.
The Merlot (on a brown and blue marl and limestone soil) is in the majority in the blend; it is accompanied by a hint of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc planted on clay-limestone soils, called “molasse de l’Agenais”. The vinification is done in whole bunches, after which the precious blend is aged 18 months in barrels.
This wine with a strong personality is a perfect combination of balance and precision, with a fluid and fleshy frame, on notes of fruits and undergrowth. As with all great wines, the freshness is there to magnify the bright fruit.
A natural wine from the Dordogne that will be the perfect accompaniment to a meat dish or spicy cuisine.
